Older Ludwigs, from the 80’s or earlier, are very uncommon in Europe and more often than not much more costly and have a nasty throw to finish the whole lot. I’m at present contemplating a clone of Worldmax BB that may give me again € 250 and I’ve an eye fixed on Dunnett. I’ve at all times wished considered one of its loops and though they’re as costly as the unique, their high quality is increased and for me they’ve this particular factor.
1) Dunnett doesn’t provide black nickel over brass, does anybody have any thought which of its loops is closest to BB? 2N COB, 2N uncooked brass, …? It is onerous to come back to his drums to attempt them out in particular person …
2) How about Worldmax, all the issues right here (particularly filter)? I do not need Black Magic, as I want triple hoops with flanges on the brass shell.
3) Some other concepts and suggestions for snares on this kingdom? My price range is round that 1000 euros (however I am not afraid of an excellent deal!), However just for a boutique drum like Dunnett, though the brand new signature of Pearl Matt Halpern appears nice. However I suppose with its thicker shell and DC hoops it will get too near my Tempest Bell Bronze.
